Raising our puppies

I would love to give you an insight into what I find important when raising my puppies. All puppies are raised in a home environment, which means that, in addition to their mother, our Yoshi will also be nearby (once the mother approves). We also have two cats in the house, and the puppies will be introduced to them as well.

I am fully committed to providing the puppies with a strong foundation in early socialization. This includes:

  • Exposure to a variety of scents, sounds, and different surfaces
  • Early house training
  • Learning to walk both on and off leash
  • Socialization with new people
  • Basic show training (such as stacking and walking on a show lead)

To support their health and well-being, the following steps are taken. The puppies will be:

  • Microchipped and registered (Dutch Dog Data, Shikoku pedigree & Nihonken pedigree)
  • Tested for genetic diversity through DNA analysis via BetterBred
  • Dewormed if necessary, based on fecal testing
  • Vaccinated if necessary, based on titer testing
  • Clinically examined and approved by our veterinarian

Each puppy will go to their new home with a puppy package that includes:

  • FCI pedigree, passport, registration, and DNA profile
  • Nutritional guidance (in collaboration with Ekowolf)
  • Information about titer testing and fecal examinations, so owners can continue this approach
  • A purchase agreement between breeder and buyer

In addition to all of the above, I find it very important to maintain ongoing contact between myself as the breeder and the puppy owners. Building a lasting relationship and offering support throughout the dog’s life is something I truly value.
