Litter Bōken

On September 5, 6, and 7, 2025, we were able to breed our Yindi to two males. This combination was carefully chosen to help preserve valuable and less commonly used bloodlines. At the same time, we also used a more experienced male to maximize the chances of a successful breeding.

Because this is a dual-sired litter, there is a possibility that the puppies may have two different fathers. Through DNA testing (which is standard for pedigree dogs), it will be determined which puppy is sired by which male.

The ultrasound on October 7, 2025, showed four puppies. At this time, all puppies have been reserved. We expect to welcome the litter around November 6.

The theme for this litter is Bōken, the Japanese word for adventure.

Born on November 6, 2025

Yindi gave birth on the morning of November 6 to four puppies—this time two males and two females. Once again, it was a smooth delivery, lasting approximately two hours.

  • Green female – born at 9:24 AM, weighing 386 grams
  • Pink female – born at 9:46 AM, weighing 332 grams
  • Blue male – born at 11:06 AM, weighing 347 grams
  • Orange male – born at 11:30 AM, weighing 373 grams

Both mother and puppies are doing wonderfully, and it was once again a beautiful, natural birth.

Meeting the puppies

On November 26, 2025, the official representative of the Dutch Kennel Club (Raad van Beheer) visited us to microchip the puppies and collect DNA samples. The puppies have now received their official names:

  • Green female – Bōken Bakuya Akai Bijo Kara
  • Pink female – Bōken Byōka Akai Bijo Kara
  • Blue male – Bōken Bishōnen Akai Bijo Kara
  • Orange male – Bōken Botetsu Akai Bijo Kara

We now have to wait another 4 to 5 weeks for the DNA results to determine which sire(s) produced our Litter Bōken. The BetterBred profiles of the puppies are still pending.

DNA Results

The official DNA results are in, and we are very proud to announce that our Litter Bōken has puppies from both sires!
